I have used it many times before it should work well.

I have had issues with equipment powered off computer USB. A powerd usb hub might help if this is related to usb noise.

I would share your findings with Heil and have them check to see if one unit is defective. Chances are they will stand behind their product.

Looks like a linear power supply is dropping voltage. If the test is to 1% distortion then the max wattage should be essentially the same. Total watts would only go up if the distortion went down with more voltage. Is the battery bank still good?…

Yes. When I have seen transparent cones in real life they usually look black because the box is dark inside.

Looking for just the woofer? What do you have for full range / mid tweet? I have LOTS of speakers a few 2.1 plate amps and a cnc. I REALLY need to thin the heard (pun intended).

I used 4 of them in my last InDIYana build. Make pretty good bass sealed, modeled really well in a ported tower. They play high enough to pair with almost any tweeter.

Peerless SDS-160F25PR01-08 these drivers are really easy to work with. Someone should pick these up and make a nice floor stander.

Those little blowers get the job done 98% of the time. I miss mine. I have a big 2 stage simplicity but haven't used it in years.
