I still have a few Allan Parsons Project LPs from the 70s. I agree - great recordings, but the music doesn't float my boat these days.

I still listen to Pink Floyd once in a blue moon. I still like classic rock but I was always really a metalhead and still am. But you will catch me listening to Blues, Jazz, Funk and maybe some Raegae. Classical music some too.

It always comes down to enjoyment. No matter what kind of music we like, I think the speaker should convey the recording properly.
Now, that may not be what we think it should sound like. Only that it sounds "good".
