It always comes down to enjoyment. No matter what kind of music we like, I think the speaker should convey the recording properly.
Now, that may not be what we think it should sound like. Only that it sounds "good".

Was never a big fan, but interesting none the less.
But he made some great sounding recordings. That is why I like him.
