Brad, I have a few drivers I think people might be interested in. I have the SB Acoustics 4" midrange buyout from PE, the Arylic AMT tweeter, that 5" Dynavox we already discussed, and the new version 6.5" Dynavox that I think would be fun to compare to the vintage version you already tested. Interested?
Interesting comparison. So if you mounted them diagonally, would you then get a set of compromise plots with curves roughly half way between the H and V curves?
Fantastic/eye-opening data!
Seems the less steep wave guide [WG] created by the horizontal cone shape/orientation really does reduce directivity at lower frequencies than the steeper/narrower WG shape of the vertical orientation. And these sweeps are done at 1 meters' distance, correct?
Great information as I am finishing up some test boxes with 6X9's now . . . and it looks like reducing ceiling/floor reflections using 6X9's is a viable option too.

It will be interesting to see for the 6x9er what, if any difference through its usable range, for the off center curves, horizontal vs vertical
I will measure it both ways

Its a very nice driver. Makes a very good large form factor midrange.

Looks like a good choice for a woofer in a slim 3-way, provided you like the oblong visual.

Interesting- thanks for the vert vs horizontal measurement comps
