It's response seems similar to the MCM Ti dome if I remember right. Has that HF breakup peak. So nothing you haven't dealt with before.
Well shoot. I forgot about their automotive oriented stuff. The AN25F-4 is $33/pr and seems to have a very similar response, db and resonance to the DSN25F. Could potentially be a replacement without change to the xo.
I used the AN25Ti-4 and felt it was a little sizzly, but not bad considering what it was. I didn't use the install frame, wrapped the perimeter with adhesive craft foam, and wedged it into place.

Nothing wrong with the ND25FA. (Nevermind the chalkboard black baffles. That mistake is being corrected.)

So I ordered a pair of the metal dome ND25, and a pair of the ND28.
I like the ND25, it is grilled so might match the mid a little better.

I've used the ND25 several of times and prefer it over the ND28. I've also used the Ti version and liked that too.
I'm hoping the ND25 is the one for this design. With the grill it is should be a cool cosmetic match.
Since I crossed at 5k I think either option might be a drop in. It is far enough from the resonant frequency that it shouldn't effect shit too much.
If I have time this weekend I'll take some measurements. I have to help direct parking at our work open house on Saturday. Mandatory fun, I guess.
